Coyote Creek Class I Bikeway

OCFCD Facility No. A01
Project Limits: La Mirada Blvd./Malvern Ave. to Hillsborough Drive
Cities: Located in La Mirada, Fullerton, and Buena Park
District: Supervisorial District 4

Project Information

Coyote Creek Channel is located at the northwest boundary of Orange County in the cities of La Mirada, Fullerton, and Buena Park. A Class I (off-road, paved) bikeway is proposed on the eastern embankment of the channel from upstream of Malvern Avenue/La Mirada Boulevard to downstream of Hillsborough Drive for a total length of approximately 1.95 miles, filling an important gap in the County's Regional Bikeway network. A small segment on the west side of the channel from Behringer Park to an existing pedestrian bridge is included in the project scope to provide users access to the park. On-street bikeway connections will connect Coyote Creek Bikeway to Ralph B. Clark Regional Park. This project is being designed and project managed by OC Public Works on behalf of OC Parks and the project is eligible for Federal Funding through the Orange County Transit Authority’s (OCTA) Bicycle Corridor Improvement (BCI) Program.

The proposed MND 30-day public review period, during which time comments can be submitted, is from August 22, 2012 to September 21, 2012. Comments responding to the adequacy and appropriateness of the MND should be sent to:
